The Gradient team provided me with real-time access to a curated Live Photo library via Google Drive. My task was to swiftly import, size, and format these images into a pre-existing After Effects project, and then render the sequence for in-room projection.

While the concept was straightforward, the challenge lay in optimizing the workflow to achieve near real-time playback. The team opted for After Effects for content generation because of creative reasons that gave them manual control over the look and feel of the projections, despite Touchdesigner's capability for real-time content generation.

However, Touchdesigner still played a significant role in this project. Using the platform, I developed a UI that enabled me to adjust, resize, and transform the provided assets. I could then export these modified files, overwriting the sample assets linked to the After Effects file without needing to dig into the parameters of each asset.

Following this, After Effects would automatically update the sequence to reflect the changes made in Touchdesigner, readying it for export and playback. Finally, I used Touchdesigner as a playback tool to ensure a clean output, free from accidental mouse movements or notifications on screen.
